You are here › Work Areas : Fire Ecology and Management
The aim of this task is to provide added value information to different end users on various aspects of fire, from the landscape level interventions for fire prevention, to education on fire ecology and management. CEABN has been involved in several research projects in this area that can be divided in four main research lines: (1) fire effects on wildlife and landscapes, (2) fire as a management tool, (3) wildfire prevention and vigilance and (4) post-fire ecology and management. In addition, an international initiative under the scope of the European Forest Institute created a research Centre on Fire Ecology and Post-Fire Management (Phoenix) hosted by CEABN.
