The aim of this task is to contribute to the sustainable use and conservation of wildlife populations through the investigation of wildlife-habitat inter-relationships. In particular, we are conducting research on the effects of wildlife on ecosystems (e.g. the impact of wild herbivores on vegetation dynamics); on the ecology and management of game species (e.g. turtle dove Streptopelia turtur); and on the impacts of agricultural changes on the populations of species with unfavourable conservation status (e.g. great bustard Otis tarda and the little bustard Tetrax tetrax).
