Formation Courses
The 3rd edition of the Advanced Course "Gestão e Recuperação de Áreas Ardidas" (Management and Recovery of Burned Areas) took place between 7 and 10 of November and 14-17 November, at Centro de Ecologia Aplicada Prof. Baeta Neves Financed by Fundo Florestal Permanente (Ministry of Agriculture financial support) and on the scope of the project "Recuperação de Áreas Ardidas" (Recovery of Burned Areas), the course was coordinated by Instituto Superior de Agronomia - Centro de Ecologia Aplicada, in collaboration with the Universities of Aveiro and Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. The course had the aim of form specialized technicians in burned areas recovery, and the lecturers were researchers from CEABN, University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Direcção Geral dos Recursos Florestais (National Forest Services), Centro de Estudios Ambientales del Mediterrâneo (Spain) and University of Colorado (USA). The course had its maximum number of students, twenty.

Next wednesday, October 7th, Susana Rodriguez-Echeverria do Departamento Botânica, Center for Functional Ecology da Universidade de Coimbra will present the seminar "Microorganismos mutualistas na invasão por espécies vegetais exóticas", between 13h and 14h, in the conference room of the Forestry Department, Instituto Superior de Agronomia.
