The Centre for Applied Ecology "Prof. Baeta Neves" (CEABN) is a research centre within the Institute of Agronomy, Technical University of Lisbon.

It is located in the old house of Professor Baeta Neves, a forester after whom the centre is denominated and who pioneered the issue of Nature Conservation in Portugal.

Through a strong emphasis on applied ecological research in agricultural and forest ecosytems, we aim to contribute to a sustainable land management and land use.

Our team is composed of foresters, biologists and landscape architects specialized in natural resources management.
