PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
Our group welcomes graduated students for developing their Phd and Master thesis under the core areas of our investigation, namely: 1) terrestrial ecology and plant ecophysiology, 2) study of plant responses to stress, including climate change, 3) carbon cycle at ecosystem level, 4) improvement of ecosystem restoration in Mediterranean conditions and 5) understand the functional role of plant biodiversity.
There are student funding facilities for doctoral and post doctoral programs in Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia open to portuguese and foreign students. Undergraduated students are welcome under the Erasmus program and can collaborate in our research projects, both in the laboratory or in field work. Our group also colaborates with Ciência Viva program open to highschool students.Our laboratories are equipped to support ecophysiology and biochemistry investigation activities.
