Action 1. Analysis of the economic and technical aspects related with the installation and maintenance of the cultures of different species

1.1 Characterization of the intervention area, with definition of the distinct regions considered in the project having into consideration its aptitude and the necessities of the diverse species considered in this project;

1.2 Elaboration of production contracts with the agricultural producers;

1.3 Accomplishment of the works of ground mobilization and preparation of the and installation of the cultures;

1.4 Analysis of the installation and maintenance costs of the cultures.

 

Action 2. Evaluation of the productivity of the installed species

2.1 Analysis of the productivity of the crops in accordance with the considered area;

2.2 Validation of the used methodology and handling of information.

 

Action 3. Delineation and implementation of methodology and equipment for harvesting/hauling off, eventual transformation and transport of the resulting product for the consumer units

3.1 Delineation of the methodology of harvesting/hauling off, transformation and transport;

3.2 Analysis of the existing equipment in the market;

3.3 Analysis of the possibility of use of the available equipment and/or necessity of modifications with the purpose of optimizing the operations to be undertaken;

3.4 Cost and productivity-efficiency estimation of the operations;

3.4.1 Sizing and characterization of the equipment for the diverse operations;

3.4.2 Quantification of the necessary man power for the execution of the operations;

3.4.3 Analysis of the productivity and calculation of the costs of harvesting/hauling off, transformation and transport considering the developed operations.

 

Action 4. Study and implementation of distinct methods for conversion of the obtained products, burning of the biomass for energy production at an industrial level, oil production from the seeds and production of alcohol from the biomass and oil, including laboratorial analysis

Action 5. Pilot-projects of utilization of biomass and bio combustibles in the usual productive process of industrial units with different characteristics

Action 6. Integrated analysis of the technical and economical viability of the alternative options (benchmarking)

6.1 Economical and technical analysis of the diverse alternatives and combinations of Species/Way of cultural Management/Final Industrial Transformation/Consumption;

6.2 Construction of a Supporting System to the Decision (SAD) - Databases with integrated Geographic Information Systems with overlay of the potential areas of installation of the different species according to the ecological, legal and administrative conditionings of the territory, potential of community and national incentives, current occupation and cost of substitution.

 

Action 7. Divulgation of the project's results and conclusions

7.1 Creation of an Internet page for the divulgation of the project;

7.2 Organisation of a Final Seminar for the presentation of the results and conclusions of the project;

7.3 Organisation of professional formation actions for agriculture population and technicians
