Actividades de Investigação

Research Activities:

Michiel Daam carries out research related with the ecotoxicology of pesticides in integrated production systems towards natural resources protection. He works at the Centro de Estudos de Engenharia Rural (CEER – Biosystems Engineering) and is physically based at the Ecotoxicology Laboratory of Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA – School of Agronomy). Present research interests include spatial and temporal extrapolation of results from higher tier risk assessment studies; ecological risk assessment on the soil-water interface; fate and effects of pesticide mixtures; pesticide fate models and environmental indicators; integrated pest management; tropical freshwater ecotoxicology.
